Sewing…

Over the last two weeks I have made a custom hood for one of our strollers, the hood that came with it is lovely but being yellow lets a lot of light in, I wanted something darker to aid with sleeping in there.

The denim makes it nice and dark, the yellow lining maintains the colour combination Jesse and I both liked and I ordered the same fabric used in the liner to make the binding with. I am rather pleased with how it came out, though after these pictures were taken I did feel the need to remove the binding, stay stitch the back section and re-bind it…

Most of all it was a good test case to see if I wanted to get into sewing again (read if I was ready to make quilts for the girls). Fabric has been ordered (as has a new set of bunk beds!) and the sewing is about to be all on… I may have to resuscitate my craft blog!
