Out and aboutSummer, Grace and I went to Lucias for lunch, and then we took a bus from Victoria Square to Rundle Mall to run a few errands. I thought that bus would go straight down King William St, but instead we took an unexpectedly scenic route down Grote St to West Terrace and back up North Terrace. Both girls enjoy bus rides so it was all good. While in town I bought fabric to make a new hood for our stroller… Fingers crossed that it turns out well. Making the new hood is a bit of a test case as to whether I can actually get a task started and finished in reasonable time. If it goes well I am going to make Grace a quilt for her birthday, and then matching quilts for Isabelle and Summer, and also hopefully a “travel” quilt for Summer, who doesn’t have one yet. These are cot sized quilts made of corded velour that I made for Isabelle and Grace years ago, and for a few friend’s babies too. Grace sleeps with hers but will need a new quilt when she moves into a big bed shortly, then she will use it as Isabelle does – when she cold on the couch, needs an extra blanket or is visiting her grannies. Unfortunately the fabric I used for Isabelle and Grace’s quilts isn’t around anymore and I don’t think I have enough left over for another quilt so I may have to make Summers from something else. But that is getting ahead of myself, first a single bed quilt for Grace… |
